My new book is out on the Dodge Charger Daytona/Plymouth Superbird project at Chrysler. You know: The wing cars. And since Amazon is dithering on this, I can get them to you at a discount if you want one.

Amazon shows the book !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! but says it might take a few weeks before they can ship. Not sure why. They had some but then sold out. Ummmm. Buy some more?

Anyway, I have a stack of them and can get them to anyone in the US for $30, signed, postage-paid. I’ll invoice you via Square (it comes to your email and is secure) and is how about 15 or 20 people have bought them from me so far (I offered to do this in !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ).

So, get while the gettin’s good. Email me if you are interested. Lehto@Kennon.com

And here is footage I shot while sitting in Richard Petty’s actual Superbird (it has been restored and I got to do this in October).

Sure beats walking.

I believe The Motor Racing Research center in Watkins Glen bought a copy, something I’m thankful for.

Some of the coolest stories for me were the Bonneville trials.

It’s available on Amazon UK from third party sellers. Some guy wants $86 for it. The cheapest is still about 50 bucks.

I wonder if that guy even has them in hand. The book has only come back from the printer a couple of weeks ago.

It could be plausible, I mean it hasn’t traversed the Atlantic yet. I think he must be buying them full price then selling them on to be asking for that kind of money.

You’re in Alaska, right? The problem is that the book is oversized and mailing is a hassle (I know: I have mailed three cases of them so far.) I’d be happy to sign it but I’m not sure if would be worth the associated costs.

Yes Alaska, we are used to spending more :) I think it would be awesome. I don’t know where you are. Some companies continue to say we are overseas shipping.

I will check on it. It arrives close to my birthday :)

So far, I am really enjoying it. I see a lot of time and research went into it. I’ve even learned a few things. I will be taking it with me to car shows this season.Nice peictures and great stories as well. I’m sure the entire book is the same. A very hard to put down book. So far, worth the money and the wait.

I love the cover and pieces of info that define each car, they are both slightly different. I tell the people I meet who ask about the wing, that mine is a superbird wing-Now I can prove it :)

I will keep you informed :)

Bad picture, but I saw that very same Daytona at Mecum Auto Auctions in Kissimmee, FL earlier this year. It was part of the Schmeeckle collection. It was said to be the only red one with a white rear spoiler.

I didn’t see how I could rotate it properly. It comes up fine for me. Apologies.

I don’t think it is the only one but it is a beautiful car.

Post 2-What a great book!!! Gave you a great review on Amazon. Learned alot about them. Funny at the time these were sold, no body liked them, now they are 100,000$ cars. I took the book to work, even my non car co-workers loved the book. Thanks!!

I knew quite a bit of the history, but I once again learned new things. My favorite cars, is it sad that I melt into a puddle every time I see a picture of one? to me they are the most amazing cars. I look out the window every day and I think “This is all mine!” This car never gets old and I smile everytime I drive it. After all this time.

I have book marked a few pages, on of which is the wing and how it is legal, have been pulled over for it a few times.
